Nancy Jo Kissee

Nancy Jo Kissee, age 81, of Ozark, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012. She was born March 11, 1931, the daughter of Thomas Everett and Jewell Mae (Baker) Kessinger. She was a 1949 graduate of Ozark High School, and on May 21, 1952, she and Donald Kissee were united in marriage. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Ozark and Christian County. She was a longtime faithful member of First Baptist Church Ozark, where she served on many committees and was a loving Sunday school teacher of preschoolers. She served the area as a nursing home administrator before retirement. Nancy was a Master Gardener and enjoyed her flower gardens and all aspects of ornamental horticulture. She was a wonderful cook and hostess for family, extended family and friends. Nancy was a member of the University of Missouri Extension Council and 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ozark Chapter #98. She was a devoted supporter of her community and Ozark Schools, and enjoyed traveling with family and friends throughout the world. She particularly enjoyed agriculture and livestock, and attended and participated in countless beef cattle shows and auction sales throughout North America. Survivors include: Her husband, Donald; two children, Keith Kissee, Richmond, Virginia, and Karol Sullivan and husband, Terry, Ozark; two beloved grandchildren, Andrew Sullivan, and Elizabeth Sullivan; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Juliette Kissee, Billings; nieces and nephews, Fred K. Schupbach, Bethany Rowland, Tom W. Kissee, Julie Herzog, Kelly Postin, and Kathy Palazollo. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Kessinger, and a sister, Bessie Schupbach. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 3, in First Baptist Church Ozark, with Pastor Jim Jeffries and Pastor Troy Rhoden officiating. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 7:00 PM Wednesday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. The family respectfully suggests memorials to honor the memory of Nancy be made to First Baptist Church Ozark Building Fund.
