Nancy Dempsey

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Dempsey, who left us on February 27, 2025 at the age of 62. A woman of resilience, strength, and unwavering love, Nancy lived a life of determination. 

Born September 26, 1962, Nancy was preceded in death by both parents Shirley Poppe and George Moore. Nancy is survived by her only daughter, Lacey Smith (Chad) of Nixa and a cherished grandmother to Jackson and Emersen, she loved her family. 

Nancy loved the fresh air, whether she was watching birds, basking in nature’s beauty, or enjoying the company of her beloved pets. She always found peace and joy in the simple things, whether that meant a quiet moment with her furry companions or an impromptu adventure. 

A friend and a mother who fought hard to create a better life for those she loved, Nancy was known for her kind heart, compassion and nurturing spirit. Her willingness to help others will never be forgotten. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren, and a circle of friends. 

 A memorial will be planned for a future date. 

Cremation rites were accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
