Nadine Jones

Alta “Nadine” Jones, age 91 of Nixa, died May 6, 2023.  She was born February 2, 1932 in Protem, the daughter of Lewis and Dory (Dunn) Smith.

On July 5, 1952, Nadine was united in marriage to Lester Lee Jones who preceded her in death.

Nadine was a seamstress at Third Street garment factory in Ozark until her retirement. Nadine was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church of Nixa. 

Survivors include:  her son, Rick Jones and wife Betty of Nixa; a brother, L.D. Smith and wife Helen; a sister, Judy Schleis; grandchildren, Lacinda Jones and April Jones; a great granddaughter, Violet; and numerous grandchildren, and step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Nadine was preceded in death by a son, Steven Lee Jones; a brother, L.C. Smith; and two sisters, Avis Blackey and Alice Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at McConnell Cemetery, Nixa, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating.  A visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
