Myrtle Allen, age 85, of Ozark, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 in Ozark Nursing and Care Center. She was born June 17, 1933 in Albany, New York, the daughter of Clifford Wilbert Clark and Christina (Henry) Clark. She was united in marriage to Haskell Allen. Myrtle loved children and was a teacher for a church elementary school in Springfield before retirement. She worked in the kitchen at the Ozark Senior Center and enjoyed making new friends there.
She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Smyrna Baptist Church and the members for being so helpful and such a blessing to Myrtle. She enjoyed crocheting when she was able.
Survivors include: A brother, John Clark of Fort Pierce, Florida; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Peggy Lybarger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, several sisters, and her parents.
An interment service with Pastor Dale Grubaugh officiating will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 24, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
