Myrdeth Jean Reynolds, age 73, long time resident of Nixa, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018. She was born October 4, 1944 in the Riverdale Community, the daughter of Harris Monroe Smith and Velma Marie (Nelson) Smith.
Myrdeth was baptized into the First Baptist Church of Nixa at an early age, and remained active in her beloved church as long as she was able. She was a 1962 graduate of Nixa High School, where she had played softball and was a baton twirler for the Nixa High School Band. Myrdeth loved her Chevy cars, especially her mint green and pearl 1957 Chevrolet.
She graduated from the Missouri School of Cosmetology, and was a beautician for several years. She also worked for Hemingway's at Bass Pro for thirteen years.
Survivors include: Her daughter, Mischelle Dawn Reynolds of Springfield; nieces and nephews, Cindy Rosenauer (Mark), Darryl Smith (Tammy), Teresa Money (Paul), and Greg Melton (Teresa); several great-nieces and nephews, whom she kept pictures of and loved very much.
She was preceded in death by a brother Oliver Smith, a sister Carolyn June Brinkley, an infant sister Kathryn Janell Smith, and her parents.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 18, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
