Millard Little, age 93, of Highlandville passed away Monday, December 28, 2015. He was born March 7, 1922 in Ponce De Leon to Milton and Eliza (Pitts) Little. Millard was one of 16 children and he started working at a very young age to help the family. Millard worked hard all of his life. He worked at Nixa Hardware and Seed for many years,and could do just about anything. Millard didn't have much education but he was very wise. Millard married Theda Keysser August 17, 1943. He joined the U. S. Army and fought in World War II. He served in the European Theater as a tank driver and a cook. He was in the Battle of the Bulge and went into Germany. In 2013, Millard went on an honor flight to see the World War II Memorial.
Millard is survived by his children Gerald Little, his wife Judy, of Republic, and Wilma Chilcutt, her husband Elmo, of Brookline; two brothers and five sisters; five grand children; ten great-grand children; three great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Millard is preceded in death by his wife; a daughter Deana Walker; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Monday, January 4, 2016, in Adams funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. Sunday, January 3, 2016 in the funeral home. Burial will be at Highlandville Cemetery, Highlandville.
