Mildred Hazel Meyer

Mildred Hazel Meyer, age 87, of Springfield, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017. She was born August 11, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Clara (Rath) Herda. On September 13, 1948 she married the love of her life, Joseph F. Meyer. They moved to the Ozarks in 1963. Mildred was a loving mother of six children. She was dedicated to her family, and taught them good morals and ethics always. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband. Mildred was a devout Catholic, and most recently attended Immaculate Conception in Springfield, Survivors include her six children: Dr. Gregg Meyer of Nevada, Kathy Reese of Ozark, Michael Meyer of California, Dr. Thomas Meyer and wife Susan of Springfield, Mary Gorman of Ozark, Nancy Faught and husband Scott of Ozark; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 27, at Immaculate Conception Church, Springfield. Cremation was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
