Mike Markus

Mike Markus, age 73, of Ozark, joined many of his friends and family in the wonderful world of Heaven on Oct 28th 2022. Mike passed away suddenly.  In his younger years he was an avid bull and bronc rider participating in many rodeos with several winnings.

Mike lived many years in Rolla where he worked for Busy Bee Laundry Company and worked on his small farm. Upon retiring he moved back to his hometown in Ozark where he grew up and graduated. Mike had no children. His parents, Joe and Esta Markus, his younger brother Larry, his nephews Joey and Nicholas have  preceded him in eternity. Still living are a brother Mark, sisters Karen Trimble and Kathy Wimsatt with husband Gene. Mike was close to his favorite niece Brenda Marshall and husband Terry.  Brenda never missed a birthday or holiday for Mike. She always showed up with a Dallas Cowboy birthday cake as Mike was a true Dallas Cowboy fan and never missed a game. Mike enjoyed going to McDonalds for late night coffee and loved visiting with many of Ozark Police Department and called them his friends. We heard alot about Tommy Wade. Thank you all for being his friend. Mike had several nieces and nephews. He was a Christian and raised in the catholic faith.

A family directed Graveside Service will be held at the Selmore Cemetery, Ozark, on Tuesday, Nov 8th at 3pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, and Adams Crematory.
