Michael Lawrence Schlitz

Michael Lawrence Schlitz, age 75 of Crane, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on January 22, 2022. He was born August 2, 1946 in Southgate, California, the son of Norman and Rosanna (Ross) Schlitz.

Michael served his country in the U.S. Army. After the military he worked in the trucking and warehouse industry. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed traveling to play softball where he received his nickname “Lefty.” He enjoyed traveling to watch stock and sprint car racing. Michael also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Additionally, he had a passion for spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include: his wife, Carol Schlitz of Crane; children, Brandon Schlitz and wife Rachel of Nixa and Mike Schlitz and wife KiKi of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren, Alicia Schlitz, Emma Schlitz, Mychael Lee and Alena Bradshaw; and a brother, Norman Schlitz and wife Donna of Anaheim, California.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa followed by a salute and escort by Warrior Watch. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
