Michael Lee Lawson

Michael Lee Lawson, age 60 of Sparta, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020. He was born August 19, 1959 in Springfield, the son of Lenny and Fern (Hursh) Lawson. Michael was a graduate of Sparta High School. On July 12, 1991 he was united in marriage to his wife Teresa. Michael was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing and motorcycles. Michael loved making homemade ice cream for his grandchildren. Survivors include: his sons, Justin Lawson and wife Jennifer of Mountain Grove and Seth Lawson and wife Samantha of Chadwick; four grandchildren, Abby and Jake Lawson and Becca and Letty Lawson; a sister, Betty Arnold and husband Ron of Kimberling City; and his wife of seven years, Teresa Lawson of Chadwick. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Bonnie Cornog. A visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Linden Cemetery, with Brother Justin Lawson officiating, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. The family will be greeting one or two people at a time in the chapel during visitation Wednesday in order to comply with health safety measures. To help protect our community and those we serve, Adams Funeral Home will be implementing new safety practices as we navigate this ever changing situation with COVID-19. As of March 23, our governor has implemented a 10 person limit at gatherings which includes funerals. We will be working with families to create opportunities to honor their loved ones while keeping them and the public as safe as possible. We will do our best to update the public to those changes. Working together with our community we hope will help bring a swifter end to this challenging and concerning situation.
