Michael Bachelder

Michael Alvin Bachelder, age 64, of Reeds Spring, died Sunday, May 1, 2022.  He was born May 15, 1957 in Bath, Maine, the son of Charles Alvin and Velma Beryl (Nichols) Bachelder.  After graduating from Morse High School in Bath, Michael joined the U.S. Air Force in 1976, serving for 15 years.  He then attended college, and eventually went to work at Pax River Airforce Base, Bendix, and McDonald Douglas. Although his work sent him overseas, he loved to travel and he spent vacations traveling worldwide.  Before retirement he lived in Maryland for several years. 

Survivors include:  His sister, Joan Oxton and husband Robert of Bath, Maine; his brother, Charles Bachelder of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Misty, Rachel, Mollie, Megan, Charles Casey, Noah, and Lillie; great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Tina.

Following cremation, Michael will be interred in Maine Veterans Cemetery.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Adams Crematory.  Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
