Michael David Anderson, 67, of Springfield Missouri, passed from this life too soon on November 24, 2017.
Michael was born on October 31, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa. A born salesman with a sharp wit and keen sense of humor, Michael started working as a paper boy at the age of nine years old. By the age of 15, he was earning $50 a day selling waitress and nursing uniforms. Throughout his adult life he was employed in direct sales and management with companies such as Ebsco Industries, Culligan Water, and MD Publications, where he worked in advertising sales as the Transmission Digest Account Executive from March 2000 until his recent illness.
Mike loved the Lord, avidly studying scripture and achieving his ministerial license with the Pentecostal Church of God on May 7, 1982.
He loved professional football, his dogs, gardening, canning and cooking. He was a shrewd investor and adviser, deeply devoted to his family and tenderly attentive to his mother.
Mike is preceded in death by his father Richard Lee Anderson and his brother Jerome Richard Anderson.
He is survived by his mother S. Jane Anderson, his wife Melody Anderson, his son Michael Drew Anderson, his daughter and son-in-law Vivian and David Conway, all of Springfield Missouri; Brothers Patrick (Kathy) of Glenwood IA, and Christopher of Grove OK, sister Diana of Springfield, and numerous nieces, nephews, great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on December 8, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Lake Springfield Boathouse 5324 S Kissick Road, Springfield Missouri.
