Meleese Mae Forth

Meleese Mae Forth passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the early evening, Thursday, April 5, 2012. Meleese was born on January 7, 1928 in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Olen and Clora Cole. She was the second of four children; two brothers, Glenn B. Cole and Clyde E. Cole, both who predeceased her, and sister, Arleene Nelson, who lives in Chouteau, Oklahoma with husband, Bert. Meleese married Robert R. Forth in 1947 and both graduated in 1950 from Oklahoma State University. They lived in California and Nebraska before settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Meleese worked as a home economics instructor with the Tulsa Board of Education mobile classroom then taught at Carver Middle School, retiring in 1983. Meleese and Bob then moved to Highlandville, Missouri, and became active in local churches and mission projects. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, cross-stitching, quilting, and making gifts for family and friends. Meleese was active in a quilting group that helped raise funds for the Missouri Baptist Children"�s Home by auctioning their quilts annually. Meleese was the beloved mother to her children, Brent Forth and wife, Linda, of Jenks, OK; Rodney Forth and wife, Patty, of St. Peter"�s, MO; and Linda Hon and husband, Mike, of El Paso, TX; grandmother to Nathan, Justin, Jerod, Casey, Robert, Tara and Charles, and great grandmother to Olivia, Aubrey, Blythe and Garrett. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Beaver Street Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at Selmore Baptist Church, Ozark, MO, under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ozark, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Selmore Baptist Church Building Fund.
