Maxine Vandekerkhove

Our lovely mother and grandmother, Maxine Vandekerkhove, age 89, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Bradford Court assisted living after an extended illness. She was born October 14, 1923 in Jamesville, Missouri to Virgil and Flora Pruitt Cox. She was a member of the Jamesville Church of Christ. Her faithful life to God was an inspiration to all who knew her. She married Clarence Middleton July 31, 1942 and had three children. After daddy"�s death in 1972 she later married Fred Vandekerkhove and they shared more than 25 years together. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, her 8 siblings, beloved son and grandson Ron Middleton and Mason McEntire. Maxine is survived by her two daughters, Lavonne McEntire and husband Bob, Libbi McCoy and husband Mike, daughter-in-law Marcelene Middleton, all of Nixa, step-son Terry Vandekerkhove and wife Carol of Battlefield, 6 precious grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a dear sister-in-law Cappy Cox of Washington State, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She was a loving and beautiful person inside and out. Her love greatly touched us all. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28 from 6:00 "� 8:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Evangelist Billy Dickinson officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jamesville Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home. The family would like to personally thank the staff at Bradford Court for the kindness and loving care given during her stay.
