Maxine J. Siler, age 91, of Nixa passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015. She was born December 5, 1923 in Taney County, to Louis and Cora (Caudle) Hires. She was united in marriage to Ralph Siler on February 21, 1942. Maxine attended College and obtained a teaching certificate. She taught for 3 years and later went into business with her husband, Ralph. Together they owned a country store in Ava, the Dairy Queen in Nixa and worked at Nixa Hardware. Most importantly she was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Maxine is survived by two sons James Siler, his wife Jeana, of Billings, and Joseph Siler and his wife Debbie, of Springfield; grandchildren Sandy Wassenich , her husband Dave, Emily Crouse, and husband Matt, Jake Siler and Josh Siler; three great-grandchildren Addison Crouse, Hudson Wassenich and Luke Wassenich; and a niece Donnel Burton.
Maxine is preceded in death by her Parents; her husband Ralph; and a sister Lucy Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a. m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield.
