Mattie Payne, age 89 of Springfield, went to be with the love of her life, her late husband Lynn, on Monday, March 26, 2018. She was born April 13, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Fair and Stella (Ridenour) Wallace. On October 14, 1944 Mattie was united in marriage to Lynn Payne. Mattie was a member of Selmore Christian Church. Survivors include: daughter Lynnette Bryant and husband Jerry, grandchildren Kim Perryman and husband Pat, Angela Berry and husband Scott and great grandchildren Asia and Noel; daughter Cynthia Gummow and husband Richard, grandchildren Erica Long and husband Toby and great grandchildren Caleb and Titus; grandson Matt Luttrull and wife Tracy and great grandson Trent; granddaughter Lindsey Amos and husband Will and great grandsons Hunter, Landon and Cale; daughter Dixie Harrington and husband Jim, grandchildren Tyler and Glenn Baxley and great grandchildren Garrett, Brett, Bowen and Creek and granddaughter Jessica Janeway and husband Eric and great granddaughter Layla; a brother, Rex Wallace; and two sisters, Ruth Moore and Shirley Wachel. In addition to her husband, Mattie was preceded in death by her parents and daughters Lana and Polly Payne. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Selmore Christian Church, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Bud Kelley and Ken Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. prior to the funeral in the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Selmore Christian Church Building Fund.
