Mary Frances Wilson, age 82 of Billings, passed away August 6, 2021. She was born January 16, 1939 in Ozark, the daughter of William and Lillie (Macomb) Hale.
On March 30, 1958, Mary was united in marriage to Kenneth Wilson.
Mary loved flowers, gardening and feeding the birds outdoors. She enjoyed cooking and had retired from working as a school cook. Mary sewed and quilted. She was a very organized housekeeper. Mary enjoyed working puzzles and playing games such as Skip-Bo and Dominoes with her family. Mary was a member of Ozark Mountain Pentecostal Church.
Those who had the honor of knowing Mary always enjoyed her gift of baked goods and her yeast rolls. Her compassion and generosity touched many family and friends as she always made time to contact those when life struggles came along. She genuinely had a heart of gold and it showed through her personality and mannerism.
Survivors include: her children, Randy Wilson and wife Renee of Republic, Brenda Heaton and husband Brad of Nixa, Debbie McMullen and husband Randy of Ozark and Cindy Prouty and husband Danny of Springfield; grandchildren, Brittney Hendrickson of Republic, Katelyn King and husband Dustin of Republic, Riley St. Clair and husband Brandon of Republic, Chris Justis and wife Whitney of Republic, Jessica Wooldridge and husband Marcus of Nixa, Cory King and wife Crystal of Colorado, Misty Peak and husband Joshua of Springfield, D.J. Edwards and wife Emily of Stockton, Ty McMullen and wife Jennifer of Searcy, Arkansas, Seleste Sherman and husband Brian of Athens, Texas and Daniel Lee Prouty of Springfield; 24 great grandchildren; a sister, Imagene Eddings of Nixa; a brother, Roger Hale of Republic; and a host of wonderful neighbors and good friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth; her other siblings; and a grandson, Weylen.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Brother Jon Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Smart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
