Mary Elizabeth Westbrook, age 80, of Ridgedale, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born August 14, 1941 in Modesto, California, the daughter of Newton and Irene Morris. Mary worked for Marriott Hotels as a Laundry Attendant.
Known to many in the family as “Aunt Jerry”, Mary was blessed to have family that loved her. She was not only a hard worker but opened her home to others. She was a jokester, making everyone around her happy to be with her. When her sister became widowed, Mary and Gale decided life would be better with the two of them together. They moved from Tucson to be near family and continued to live together.
Survivors include: two sons, Samuel Westbrook of Forsyth, Missouri, and Timothy Westbrook of Tucson, Arizona; her sister, Gale Averill of Ridgedale; a great-niece she helped raise, Stephanie Wanagel and husband Jason, and their children, Alonah, Iasaac, Savanah, Aiden, Jace, Amiee, Haylee, and Dameion; great-nieces, Rachael Gregory, Angela Averill and Melanie Weissman; and great-nephew Brandon Averill;
She was preceded in death by a son, Delmar Westbrook.
Visitation and viewing will be Wednesday, November 3, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Cremation will follow.
