Mary Juanita Tennis

Mary Juanita Tennis, age 86, of Nixa, died November 8, 2013, with her family by her side. Juanita was born May 31, 1927, near Nixa, the daughter of Irving and Gracie (Maples) Bolin. Her parents preceded her in death. She and Orville Tennis were married July 24, 1945. Orville preceded Juanita in death in 2009. Juanita is survived by her children, Jim and Monty Tennis of Chillicothe, Dale and Shirley Tennis of Springfield, Gayla Sears of Nixa, and Brenda Smith of Springfield; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters and brother, Betty and Harold Rainey of Springfield, Kathy Holland of Nixa, Ava and Bob Haworth of Nixa, and Jerry and Linda Bolin of Nixa; and several nieces and nephews. Juanita became a member of Calvary Bible Church at an early age, and continued to worship there throughout her life. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and quilting. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Betty Rainey. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 11, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in McConnell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 "� 5:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
