Mary Maxine Daugherty

August 18, 1941 — February 21, 2017

Mary Maxine (Sportsman) Daugherty, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ on February 20, 2017. After a long and difficult battle that she fought with such strength and amazing grace, she was relieved of her pain and suffering while at home surrounded by her family. She spent her life caring for others, and touched countless lives. She loved her grandchildren, Chad, Ashley, Austin, Kylee and Jillian with all her heart and soul. In addition to grandchildren, she is survived by her son, Mark Keltner, daughter Melinda Davis and son-in-law Matt Davis. Her loving son, Greg Towe preceded her in death in 2011. She is also survived by her sole surviving sibling Inna Melton and husband Joe, sister-in-law Carolyn, brother-in-law Gordon; nieces and nephews, Rhonda Melton-Giaccio, Anita Rodriguez, Angie Stewart, Andrea Bottiglieri, Wesley Melton, Justin Melton, Mike Sportsman, Brian Sportsman, Brad Sportsman, Shelley Kuntzman, Keri Hinckle, Deann Sportsman, and Lisa Milner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vollie and Luella Sportsman, and siblings, Linell (Dean), Sherman, Mack, Ann, Linda, Shirley and Alice. Services will be at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark. Viewing and visitation will be Friday, February 24 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Service time is 3:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent to Adams Funeral Home, or in lieu of flowers donations toward final expenses may be sent to the funeral home
