Mark Maples, age 52, of Highlandville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, in Syracuse, MO. He was born March 4, 1963, the son of Dearl and Norma Jean (Linebaugh) Maples. He graduated from Spokane High School, and worked in construction throughout his career.
Mark enjoyed the lake, loved his family, and always looked forward to being with his grandchildren. He never hesitated to strike up conversation with friends and family.
Survivors include: His mother, Norma Jean Maples of Highlandville; his son, Daryl Bradley Maples; two grandsons, Devin Maples and Caleb Maples; two step-sons, Michael Swanigan and Donnie Swanigan; his brother, Roger Maples and wife Bobby; Daryl's mother, Tammy Maples; nieces and nephew, Jennifer, Logan and Laken Maples; and a longtime friend, Tim Mann.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dearl, a brother, Leon Maples, two nephews and a niece, Charles, Tyrell, and Catherine Maples.
A graveside funeral will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, at Tory Cemetery, Highlandville, with Pastor George Bishop officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
