Marjorie Elaine Vaz

Marjorie Elaine Vaz, age 82, of Ozark, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born September 17, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Hector Arthur and Mary (Anderson) Godin. Marjorie grew up in Philadelphia. She loved to dance and met her husband at a Spanish dance. They had one child, Michelle, before moving to Lansdale, where Michelle grew up. Marjorie loved her work as a food service manager. She was kind and funny, and was always ready to help others. Marjorie enjoyed traveling with friends and family. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale. Ten years ago she came to live in Ozark with her daughter. Survivors include: Her daughter, Michelle Fritz and Mike Ripple; grandchildren, Raven Fritz and Dylan Fritz; a brother Richard Godin and wife Connie; a nephew, Rick Godin; and a niece Kris Godin. A memorial service will be 6:30 PM Thursday, April 20, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Chris Thixton officiating. Visitation will follow the service until 8:00 PM.
