Marjorie Lou Schupbach, 87, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 28, 2024, surrounded by her devoted children and loved ones. Born on July 22, 1937, to Howard and Helen (Hovey) Holloway, Marjorie led a life filled with love, faith, and service.
She spent her early days growing up in West Plains, Missouri, where she graduated high school and led the marching band as drum major. On December, 22, 1961, she was united in marriage to Paul Ray Schupbach, her partner in life, and in business, until his passing in 1984. As the saying goes, “behind every great man, is an even greater woman,” and Marjorie exemplified this sentiment. She worked alongside Paul at Paul Schupbach Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, in Ozark, Missouri, embodying devotion as a wife and mother.
Marjorie was known for her ever-present smile, generous spirit, and unwavering faith. A lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Ozark, she was dedicated to serving her church community in a variety of ways. She joyfully contributed to Vacation Bible School, Children’s Choir, Sunday School, and meal preparation, offering her time and talents to nurture and uplift others.
A woman of determination and purpose, Marjorie carried her business minded approach into her other ventures, always striving for positive results. Her leadership and grace extended beyond her professional life; she was an active member of the Red Hat Society, fostering connection and camaraderie among women. She supported the American Heart Association and Convoy of Hope, reflecting her deep commitment to causes close to the heart.
She loved her long-standing lunch gatherings with friends, annual winter getaways to Kauai, and getting dressed up whether it was to go get coffee or dinner.
Marjorie's greatest joy was her family. Her love, kindness and faith created a foundation that continues to inspire those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, strength and unwavering devotion. She always had a smile on her face.
“She fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.” - 2 Timothy 4:7.
