Marion Glenn Sanders, age 79, of Ozark, passed away in his home Thursday, October 25, 2018. He was born January 28, 1939, in Springfield, the son of Glenn Harvey Sanders and Inez Gertrude (Henry) Sanders. He grew up in the Clever and Wilson's Battlefield area. Marion was a graduate of Clever High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in Wichita Falls, Texas, he and Eleanor Eyvon Hughes were married on March 28, 1959.
Marion retired after 37 years with Kraft Foods. He was also a farmer, and enjoyed several hobbies including hunting, fishing and woodworking. A man of few words, Marion was a loyal friend and rock to his family. His family describes him as a big man with an even bigger heart. He loved his role as husband, father, and grandfather. His last joy was becoming a great-grandfather.
Survivors include: His wife, Eleanor Eyvon; three children, Teresa McCutchen and husband Charles of Ozark, Jeffery Sanders and wife Sofia of Ozark, and Kimberly Sanders of Ozark; grandchildren, Tyla, Daniel, Thomas, Martin, Joseph, Renato, and Cara; a great-granddaughter, Emery; two brothers, Max Sanders and wife Marcia of Marionville, and Phillip Sanders and wife Kathy of Aurora; nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Alice Hughes of Nixa; two sisters-in-law, Regina Anderson and Patricia Hughes, both of Nixa; many special friends and neighbors in including Steve Beyers, Frank Hilton, and Scott Bradley. Marion was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Thursday, November 1, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
