Marilyn Anne Shipman, age 79, passed away on April 17, 2024. Marilyn was born in Southern California as the first daughter to John E. Williams and Marybelle Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn Ross of Ozark, nephews Ron Kitchens of Wichita Falls, Texas, John Kitchens of San Antonio, TX, and Mark Rodney of Springfield, MO.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Theron Shipman, son Danny Ross, sister Judith Williams, and brother John Williams. Marilyn was a loving mother and aunt that never forgot a birthday and was always happy to help anyone in need. Marilyn loved to laugh and enjoyed sharing her kind, loving spirit with those fortunate to know her. Marilyn especially loved playing bingo with her friends at the Ozark Senior Center. She also enjoyed baking and spending time at the Nixa American Legion. Marilyn was a big fan of reality television. Her favorite show was Naked and Afraid, and she loved to laugh and talk about the show with others.
Her funeral will be held at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Michael Shockley officiating. A graveside service at Weaver Cemetery in Ozark will immediately follow.
