Marilyn Ann Eppler Strothkamp Boelts was born November 28, 1935 to LeRoy Eppler and Leona (Schroder) Eppler in Geneva, Nebraska. They preceded her in death along with her first husband, Kenneth Strothkamp and son, Douglas Strothkamp.
She married her high school sweetheart Kenneth Strothkamp on July 20, 1953. Four children were blessed to this union, Wanda, Victoria, Douglas and Mark. After farming for many years on the family farm near Geneva, Marilyn and Kenny moved to Ozark, Missouri, to start a construction business with Marilyn's brother, Harold. Kenny passed from this earth in 1980 and in 1984 Marilyn married Kenneth Boelts. Marilyn was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. One of her greatest joys was when she and Kenneth joined the First Baptist Church of Ozark and were baptized there by Pastor Troy Rhoden. Another great joy was when her first great-grandchild, Emma, was born. She loved her family very much and found great delight in attending the weddings of Brian, Kendra, and Kayla (three of her seven grandchildren), and their spouses. Marilyn also loved her other immediate family members, friends, and neighbors. She also loved her home, which she and Kenneth bought in1984, her flowers (of which she had many) and her vegetable garden. She and Kenneth always had enough produce to can and give away. Until the last couple of years, Marilyn and Kenneth would return to Geneva to stay with her sister, Carol, and visit friends and other family members.
Marilyn leaves to mourn: Her husband Kenneth of the home; daughter Wanda Fringer and husband Jim of Sparta, Missouri; daughter Victoria Anderson and husband David of Richardson, Texas; son Mark Strothkamp and wife Cheryl of Rogersville, Missouri; her grandchildren, Kevin Fringer of Bentonville, Arkansas, Brian Anderson and wife Jennifer of Dallas, Texas, Kendra Alcala and husband Mitch of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Kathryn McFarland and husband Glenn of Pittsburg, Texas, Kayla Carte and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Grant Strothkamp, and Tyler Strothkamp, both of Rogersville, Missouri; her great-grandchildren, Emma, Reagan, Kenneth and Porter Anderson of Dallas, Texas. She also leaves her brother Harold Eppler; sisters Carol Strothkamp, and Sheila Kropp.
Marilyn passed into Heaven to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 13, 2018.
