Maria Delia Orejuela Lamar

Maria Delia Orejuela Lamar passed away January 25, 2025 at her home in Springfield, Missouri. Maria was born October 17, 1932 in Honda, Tolima, Colombia, South America.

Maria is survived by her daughter, Martha I. Maxwell; her son, Carlos Roberto Lamar of Cali, Colombia, South America; a grandson, Carlos Andres of Alabama; a granddaughter, Sandra Paola of Cali, Colombia, South America; a great grandson, Santiago Lamar; and a son in law, Cyril Watson of Springfield, Missouri.

Maria was a devoted wife and mother, devoting her entire life to her family. She had a brilliant mind, and a kind, radiating, continence which attracted everyone to her. Maria had an unshakable faith in her Celestial Father. She forgave everyone for all transgressions. Maria was a humble, forgiving and wise woman with a beautiful soul.

She left Cali, Colombia in 2012 to live with her daughter Martha in Springfield, Missouri. Maria will be extremely missed by all who knew her.

Burial will be in Colombia, South America at a later date. A memorial service will be held in Springfield, Missouri at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
