Margrett "Susie" Hughes

Margrett Jane Hughes (Susie), age 90, of Ozark,  peacefully passed to her eternal home Friday, May 5, 2023.  She was born March 19, 1933 in Bruner, Missouri, the daughter of Jessie Braden. On August 1, 1950, she and Russell Hughes were united in marriage.

Susie was a homemaker and talented seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, tending to her flowers and bird watching.  Nothing could excite her more than to see a painted bunting landing on the bird feeder. She loved her family and enjoyed her many friends and their children.

Survivors include:  two daughters and their husbands, Anita and David Thebeau of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Linda and Butch Miceli of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; a sister, Wanda Johnson of Osceola, Missouri; nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hughes;  one brother, Arnold Braden; two sisters, Annabelle Davidson and Baby Girl Davidson; a grandson, Christopher Nitzsche and her mother.

Memorial Donations made be made to:

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Friday, May 12, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.  A Graveside Funeral will be 3:30 PM Friday in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield, with Pastor Bob Long officiating.
