Margaret Lucille Bright, age 90, of Highlandville, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, in Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born December 10, 1922, in Seminole, Oklahoma, the daughter of Archie and Lucy Maude (Williams) Myers.
In 1940 she and Melvin T. Bright were united in marriage. Always together, Lucille requested that the picture shown here be one of them together. Melvin traveled around the world building oil fields. Lucille was able to be with him on many of the trips. Melvin retired in 1986 and they moved to this area. Lucille and Melvin were active in their church, and helped build local churches.
Survivors include: A daughter, Judith Bright- Deans and husband Michael of Highlandville; two grandchildren, Michael McGrath and wife Karen, and Lori Ann Burgos and husband Jorge; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey McGrath, Travis McGrath, Daniel Burgos and Alina Burgos; other relatives and many friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, on April 2, 2013, two sisters, Bobbie Glossip and Mary Jo Wilson, and her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 2, in First Assembly of God Church, Highlandville, with a visitation starting at 9:30 in the church. Interment will follow at Spokane Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
