Marcella Marie Hickman

Marcella Marie Hickman, age 94, of Nixa, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, in Christian Health Care of Republic. She was born September 8, 1919, in Aztec, New Mexico, the daughter of Clarence Yates Douglas and Effie Mae (Sewell) Douglas. Marcella worked as a secretary for the detective division of the Modesto, California, Police Department before retirement. She was preceded in death by her first husband Harvey Quigg, and her second husband Norman Hickman. She was also preceded in death by two children, Bobbie Jeanne Quigg and Harvey Clyde Quigg and her sister, Eleanor Ellyson. Survivors include: A son, Curtis Lowell Quigg, six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. The family is planning a memorial service at the graveside for 11:00 AM Sunday, July 20, in Evergreen Cemetery, Branson. Burial was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
