Malba Ruth Smith

Melba Smith, age 68, of Nixa passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. She was born January 24, 1947 in New Boston, TX, to Stanley and Ruth (Bartlett) Reynolds, Sr. Melba married Julius Smith, III in 1963. Melba was a floral designer for 30 years. Her life revolved around her family and her love for the Lord. Melba was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church, Nixa. Melba is survived by her daughter, Tena Vos, and her husband Mike, of Nixa; A grandson Travis Elkins and Mollie Villeme, of Clever; a great grandson Alexander Julius Elkins; and brothers Stanley Reynolds, Jr and his wife Nell, of Lake Jackson, TX, and Loy Reynolds, of Avery, TX. Melba is preceded in death by her husband Julius; and a brother Roy Reynolds. A celebration of life for friends and family will be held from 2:00 pm. To 4:00 pm. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the residence, 905 W. Mt. Vernon Nixa, MO 65714.
