Magaline Hodge

Magaline Hodge, age 86, of Nixa, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, February 14, 2017, with her family at her side. She was born July 3, 1930, in Northview, Missouri, the daughter of Charlie and Della (Berry) Butts. On February 20, 1954 she and Leo Alfred Hodge were united in marriage. To this union one daughter, Della Marie, was born. Magaline was a Christian and was strong in her faith. She always looked forward to attending church. She was a wonderful seamstress, and she and Leo loved to travel. Her granddaughter, Ashley, was her pride and joy. Survivors include: Her daughter, Della Marie Roush and husband Ronald of Nixa; a granddaughter, Ashley Roush; nieces and nephews. Her husband, Leo, preceded her in death in 2013. Also preceding Magaline in death were her parents Charlie and Della Butts, a brother Jerry Butts, two infant brothers and an infant sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Richard Orrell officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday. The family would like to thank Stephen, with Oxford Hospice, for the wonderful care given to Magaline.
