Mabel Maxalee Inman McConnell

Mabel Maxalee (Inman) McConnell, age 97 of Nixa, went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2017 after a short illness. Mabel was the daughter of Will and Artie Inman, born February 24, 1920 in Nixa. Mabel was saved and baptized at a young age. Mabel graduated from Nixa High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Carmen McConnell on March 18, 1939, celebrating 60 years together. Carmen preceded Mabel in death in 1999. She spent her life taking care of her family, including her elderly mother. Mabel enjoyed cooking for friends and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mabel was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Raymond and Lowell Inman. Survivors include: her daughters, Linda Noe and husband Larry, Nixa; Connie Jones and husband Eddie, Billings; Marsha Crotts and husband Raymond, Ash Grove; grandchildren, Jennifer Baltes, Brian Noe, Emily Crotts and Kim Jones; eight great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Linda Macior who helped care for Mabel. Memorial contributions may be made to Ozarks Food Harvest. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Merle Laswell officiating. Burial will follow in McConnell Cemetery, Nixa. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
