Luenetta Bernice Hale, age 79, of Oldfield, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016. She was born May 11, 1937, at Arno, Missouri, the daughter of Howard and Sibyl (Wilson) Mendel. On April 7, 1956 she and Kenneth Hale were united in marriage.
Luenetta worked for Fasco and later for Hagale Garment Factory. She was a Baptist by faith. Her hobbies included making quilts for her family, collecting cookie jars, and fishing. Her family loved her and also enjoyed her home cooked meals, especially hot rolls and cherry and apple pies.
Survivors include: Her husband of 60 years, Kenneth; two daughters and their husbands, Denise and Mike Nelson and Sandra and Dave Maggard, all of Oldfield; three grandchildren, Kenneth Nelson, Karen Nelson, and Kirsten Maggard; two great-grandchildren, Noah Nelson, and Maxine Chadwick; two sisters, Oma Dean Bagley of Ozark, and Lavatta Carter of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Luenetta was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Margie Bilyeu.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Oldfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM Wednesday until service time.
