Loy Tom Stumpff, age 74, of Ozark, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012, in Autumn Oaks Caring Center, Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was born January 6, 1938, in Cassville, the son of Ernest and Wilhelma (Bradley) Stumpff. He graduated from Cassville High School in 1955, and on February 17, 1962, he and Sue Lynn Wommack were united in marriage. Loy was best known as owner of the Dairy Queen in Ozark, where the family had been in business for thirty years. Before retirement Loy also had several other business interests. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Ozark. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include: His wife of 50 years, Sue, a resident of Autumn Oaks; two children, Greg Stumpff and wife Marcie, Mountain Grove, and Sherry Stumpff, Springfield; two grandchildren, Charlotte Yarger and husband Nathan, and Zachary Stumpff and wife Tiffanie; three great-grandchildren, Summer, Gage, and Zander Yarger; sisters-in-law, Barbara Philbrook, Alice Stumpff and Murlene Wommack, and brothers-in-law, Junior Redding and Darryl Dennis. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Coy Stumpff, two brothers Edgar and Donald Stumpff, a sister, Wanda Redding, and his parents. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 1, in First Baptist Church Ozark, with visitation starting at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Ozark.
