Louis Junior Still (81) of Ozark, MO passed from this life into Heaven on April 5, 2017 at his home. Louis was born June 15 (recorded 6/10/35), 1935 to Louis Still and Edna Pearl Williams in Grovespring, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Magdalene Varner, Helen Henry, and Willa Wright, four brothers-in-law Guy Varner, Dale Henry, Gus Wright, and Carroll Foster, one sister-in-law Nadine Hyde and one grandson Perry Clay McClenahan.
Louis spent his school years at Mansfield, Missouri and it was there that he met and married Della Cooper and to this union two children were born, Russell Louis and Leslie Leigh. Their union ended September of 1975.
Louis owned and operated the Ford Dealership in Mtn. Grove, Missouri for over 33 years where he formed many lasting friendships. While attending First Baptist Church in Mtn. Grove, MO., Louis accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of his life. He had the joy and privilege of being a co-teacher of a new startup group named "The Newly Weds". Those friendships have continued and become more precious as the young people became parents and grandparents. Out of the Newly Weds a men's early Morning Prayer group was formed that is still active today.
Louis and Bobbi (Roberta McClenahan) were married June 9, 1979. Bobbi brought to the family two children, Glenda Perrilyn and Thomas Clay McClenahan.
Upon moving to Ozark in 2007 God provided another Spirit filled loving church, Selmore Baptist for Louis and Bobbi to join.
Louis is survived by his wife of 37 years, Bobbi Still of the home, four children, Rusty (Sara) Still of Rogersville, MO., Leslie (Tim) Kilpatrick of Nixa, MO, Glenda Short of Ft. Gibson, OK, Brent Short (son-in-law), Tahlequah, OK, and Clay (Barbara) McClenahan of Lebanon, MO.; also surviving Louis are four grandsons, Adam (Stephanie) Kilpatrick, Jonah Evans, Seth (Heather) Short, Luke (Courtney) Short, and three granddaughters, Ashley (Chris) Evans, Alana (Jim) Roberts, Dr. Kaitlin McClenahan (Colt Campbell) and special friends Steve (Donita) Dust.
Louis is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, Michael, Joe, Meaghan, and Makyla Roberts, Jasmine Evans, Annabelle and Charles Kilpatrick, Andie and Campbell Evans, Treyton (Lindley) and Rory Mae Short.
Louis is survived by one sister, Linda Kaye (Norman) of Ozark, MO. Also surviving are two brothers, Willard (Betty) Still, Waco, TX, Frank (Kathy) Still of Nixa, MO, one sister-in-law, Macky (Jim) Queen, three brother-in-laws, Joe (Carol Jean) and Tim (Evelyn) Whetstine both of Cabool, MO, Bill Hyde of Mtn. Grove, MO, also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and very dear friends.
In lieu of flowers Louis requested you give your gift to Selmore Baptist Church, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or the Charity of your choice.
We celebrate his life of walking with Jesus, his many accomplishments, and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 14, at Selmore Baptist Church,4768 Selmore Road, Ozark. Burial will be in Selmore Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
