Louis Ray Gilbert, Jr. entered this world on a late Sunday night July 22, 1963, and departed this life at 12:50 AM on August 19, 2011. His proud parents, Louis Sr., and Lyla Gilbert knew they had a winner on their hands. He attended his first 5 years of school at Shady Dell in Springfield, MO, one year at Hill Dale in Willard, MO and 7 years at Osceola School in Osceola, MO. He played his favorite sport of football since his 1st grade. He was awarded a football scholarship to Graceland College in Lamoni, IA. He also attended CMSU in Warrensburg, MO After a short stint in the construction business in Sperry, OK, he decided to attend Barber College. In 2001 he purchased what we all know as LOU"�S BARBERSHOP, in Ozark, MO. In September of 1988, Lou brought beautiful twin daughters home from Cox Hospital. Chelsie Rae and Chandas Nakohl. They were Daddy"�s girls. The love, care and support he put into raising them was unconditional. They will always be his E-T babies. Lou enjoyed coaching basketball and Mighty Mite football. He loved his sports and we all know he was a die hard Chiefs fan. He enjoyed stock car and drag racing, but his first passion was music. Lou was an avid guitar player and don"�t forget "Jr. get your banjo"�. He loved making music in the kitchen. Lou was all about his family and friends. He had a fun loving personality and a great sense of humor. Along with that a wonderful laugh and a beautiful smile. He was known as Poppi to his 2 grandsons KamRay and Syeksten. He is survived by his fianc� SusAnn Rutledge and her children, Jessie and Jarrod; two daughters Chelsie and Chandas Gilbert; two stepsons and their wives Justin and Regina Bressie and Brandon and Stephanie Bressie; five granddaughters, Kristen Williams, Abigail, Claire, Chloe and Julia Bressie; three grandsons, Kevin Whitcomb, KamRay Rutledge and Syeksten McDonald. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Lyla and Larry Pack; his father and stepmother Louis Sr., and Joyce Gilbert; two sisters and their companions, Lori Gilbert and Jerri King, and Liberty Byron and Doug Long; a brother and wife, Lynn and Angela Gilbert; two stepsisters, Sharron Barclay, and Susan Vogler and husband Chris; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of friends. He will always be in our hearts and never forgotten! Louie, we will miss you always! Visitation will be Sunday, August 21, from 2:00 "� 4:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home, 504 W. Walnut, Ozark, MO. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, August 22 at the Adams funeral Home. Lou will be laid to rest in the Selmore Cemetery in Ozark.
