Louella Berniece Rotrock, age 96, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 in Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born November 6, 1918 in Aldrich, MO, the daughter of John Harrison and Leslie Delilah (Abbott) Rotrock.
After graduating from Southwest Missouri State Teacher's College, Berniece moved to Longbeach, CA where she was a teacher and middle school counselor for over 40 years before returning to Missouri. Berniece loved to travel and visited many foreign countries during her lifetime. During her retirement years, she enjoyed volunteering at the Springfield Art Museum and the gift shop at Cox South Hospital. She was also an active member of the Nixa Women's Club for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Frank Rotrock, who was the principal of Nixa High School for many years; a nephew, Michael Franklin Rotrock. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Shady Grove Cemetery in Polk County. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nixa Early Learning Center in care of Scott McDonald at Empire Bank, PO Box 363, Nixa, Missouri 65714
