Lois Ivon White, age 96 of Clever, passed away July 9, 2021. She was born February 2, 1925 the daughter of Earl and Gladys (Baker) Gilmore.
On March 4, 1944, Lois was united in marriage to Confrey “Dude” Elmer White. To this union, a daughter, Connie was born. Lois was a longtime member of Jamesville Baptist Church. Dude preceded Lois in death on December 1, 2016.
Lois was an excellent cook. One of her specialties was chocolate pie. She enjoyed embroidery, gardening and working on the family farm. Lois was more than a homemaker, taking care of her neighbors as well as her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Ellingsworth and husband Bob of Nixa, grandchildren, Brad Ellingsworth and wife Melanie, Karla Berziel and husband Donnie; great grandchildren, Gunner Ellingsworth, Madison Ellingsworth, Ashley Bumgarner and husband Steve, Crystal Arthur and husband Luke, Logan Prust and Nathan Bumgarner, Emma Arthur and Ellie Arthur; a sister, Juanita Bryant; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Clinton Gilmore, Edgar Gilmore, Johnny Gilmore, and Jimmie Gilmore.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 12, 2021, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa with Pastor Rick Washam and Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating. Burial will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery, Clever. Visitation will be from 9-10 A.M. immediately before the funeral in the funeral home.
