Lois Marie Garrison won her battle with Parkinson"�s and went home to be with her Savior, Jesus, December 26, 2012. She was born July 27, 1930 to Earl and Una Kilburn. She grew up in Webster County and then in Springfield, where she graduated from Central High School and Southwest Missouri State University, and earned her master"�s degree at Drury College. She was married to Harold Garrison July 1, 1949. She served faithfully beside Harold and his call to the ministry, working in local churches and aiding in his associational work. As a teacher, she taught scores of children in high school and elementary schools, and finished her career at Marshfield. Lois was proud of and loved her family, and cared for them well. She was a writer of poetry and prose, penning stories of life, family and friends, often sharing one with them on their birthdays. She and Harold shared a love of the Lady Jays, the Lady Bears, and travel. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church. For over a decade she fought the ravages of Parkinson"�s, yet never gave up, and kept her positive witness. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; and her two brothers-in-law, Russle Burns and Hans Nelson. She is survived by her sisters, Mildred Burns, and Wilma Nelson; her sons, Wayne and wife, Martha of Springfield; James and wife, Elina of Keystone Heights, FL; and daughter, Sharon Craig, and husband, Dan of Ozark; grandchildren, Timothy Garrison and wife, Traci; Christie Garrison; Aaron Garrison and wife, Sarah; Jamie Rose and husband, Jeremy; Daniel Cobb and wife, Kristen; Dillon Cobb; and Ella Garrison; great grandchildren Silas, Luke, Selah, Hope, Riley, Victoria, Faith, and Reagen; and a great many faithful friends. The family wants to express their gratitude to the staff at Culpepper East and The Baptist Home for their many kindnesses to her over these years. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM saturday, December 29 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Douglas Shivers officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7:00 - 8:00 PM Friday in the funeral home.
