Lloyd Charles Peirce, Sr., age 85, of Chadwick, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012. He was born March 30, 1927, in Long Branch, New Jersey, the son of Adford and Muriel Kirkpatrick Peirce. Lloyd and Mildred Gross were united in marriage on August 21, 1950. Mildred preceded him in death November 15, 2007. Lloyd was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy UDT"�s (Underwater Demolition Team) and worked as a switchman for Southwest Bell Telephone Company for 35 years. Survivors include: three children, Bonnie Peirce and husband Bob Mattes, of Branson, Lloyd Peirce, Jr. and wife Diana, Aurora, and Bob Peirce and wife Rhonda, Chadwick; four grandchildren, Erik Peirce, Tiffany Allabaugh and husband Jason, Ashley Peirce and Tim Herd, and Jessi Little and husband Chris; seven great grandchildren, Jaiden, Daveigh, Raeleigh, Dalton, Thayor, Ella and Emma. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mildred, and a daughter Gerry Lee Peirce. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Reverend Jerry Loveland officiating. Burial will follow in Chadwick Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
