Lloyd Earl Johnson, age 87 of Sparta, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019. He was the son of Clarence Gladden Johnson and Ruby Virginia (Coose) Johnson, born November 12, 1931 in Brush Creek, Washington County, Arkansas. On December 2, 1951 he and Patricia Carol McHaffie were united in marriage.
He will be missed and fondly remembered by: Two sons and their wives, Steven and Wanda Johnson of Fordland, and Ken and Dorothy Johnson, also of Fordland; four grandchildren, Ronnie Johnson and wife Vickie of Fordland, Doug Johnson of Bruner, Garland Johnson and wife Tara of Bruner, and David Johnson of Rogersville; several great and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, on January 30, 2018; three children, Deatta, Kimberly Jo and infant daughter, and a sister, Evelyn Center.
Lloyd worked in several capacities throughout his working career, including mechanic, raising beef cattle, milk cow operation, sawmill operation and real estate. Whatever Lloyd was doing he strived to make it right, taking time to do a good job. He loved his family and although he was strict, he always looked for the best in anyone. He did not hesitate to tell his family that he loved them.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 22, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 23, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Reggie Micham officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Hill Cemetery.
