Linda Anne Williams (n�e Pierce), 69, was received home and into her Savior's arms Thursday, May 10, 2018. She was born October 20, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of Glendale High School. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Southwest Missouri State University in 1970. She was awarded a Master of Business Administration Healthcare Management from American Inter-Continental University in 2004.
Linda was the beloved wife of her love of 43 years, Kenneth "Ken" James Williams, of Springfield, Missouri. Honored mother "partner in crime" of Anne (Williams) Miller, husband James and Brenna (Williams) Batty, husband Shawn. Dear daughter of the late Anne Bay Pierce and Calvin W. Pierce. Sister to Jack, Janice, and Carole. Adoring grandmother to Makayla, Ian, Emma, Amelia, Alexis, Simon, Elijah, Selah, Felix, and Hannah. As well as to Micah, Ava, and Teddy who she joined in Heaven's home.
She was preceded in death by her mother Anne and younger sister Janice.
Linda worked as a microbiologist for the Missouri Department of Health and as a toxicologist with the Missouri Department of Corrections for 15 years. Linda was active in children's ministry, the hand bell choir, was a gifted writer, church choir member, avid reader, creator of fiber arts, and a lover of beautiful things. She will be remembered, foremost, for her quick wit and generous heart, as well as for her many collections including: hummingbirds, ruby red glassware, Santas, angels, quilts, and music boxes.
Friends and family will be received at a visitation May 14, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 911 W. Mt Vernon St, Nixa, Mo 65714, at 10am. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 11am. Burial will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
