Linda Jo Patterson, age 61 of Springfield, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014. She was born June 29, 1953 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joe Myrl and Ollie Belle (Green) Patterson.
Linda attended College View State School in Joplin until she was 18 years old. She worked at Joplin Sheltered Workshop for 24 years. In 2001, Linda moved with her family to Ozark, where she worked at Christian County Enterprises until recently. Her work, Sunday School Class, Special Ministries and her family were her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ozark.
In December of 2011, Linda moved to Independent Living, and stayed with Easy Living until she passed away.
Linda is survived by her mother, Ollie Patterson of the home; three brothers, Steve Patterson and wife Diann, Webb City, Dr. Kevin Patterson and wife Sarah, Ozark and David Patterson wife Angela, Ozark; ten nieces and nephews, Micah Patterson and wife Robin, Jessica Rimmer and husband Terry, Leah Rush and husband Scott, Sarah Beth Patterson, Kaleb Patterson, Keaton Patterson, Kramer Patterson, Trenton Patterson and wife Ashley, Alyssa Patterson and Teagon Patterson; her two great nephews and two great nieces whom she loved dearly, Luke Patterson, Myles Rimmer, Jillian Patterson and McKinley Patterson; many aunts and uncles including a special aunt who was devoted to Linda, Sheridan Patterson.
Linda was preceded in death by her father.
Linda was loved by all. She will be missed by her family and friends. Heaven is her home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Ozark. Visitation will be from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home.
