Linda Carol Collins

Linda Carol Collins, age 69 of Springfield, passed away August 10, 2014. She was born August 3, 1945 in Springfield, the daughter of Harold (E.T.) and Golda (Thurman) Stout. On August 23, 1963 she was united in marriage to Doyle Collins in Mt. Grove. Linda attended Riverdale Baptist Church. She enjoyed square dancing, geneology, traveling, being a Lady Bear fan and hosting foreign exchange students. In addition to her husband and her mother, survivors include: two children, Stephanie Downing and husband Jeff and Jodie Snider and husband Scott; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Brown, Jordan Downing and Collin, Myah and Grant Snider; a great granddaughter, Olyvia Snodgrass; and a special lifelong friend, Carolann Wininger. Linda was preceded in death by her father; her brother, George (Kenny) Stout and a grandson, Colby Snider. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13 in Riverdale Baptist Church, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating. Burial will follow at McConnell-Bledsoe Cemetery, NIxa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Riverdale Baptist Church.
