Linda Mae Blesi

Linda Mae Blesi, age 76, of Reeds Spring, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024. She was born April 22, 1948, in Houston, TX, to Cecil and Rosalee (Molitor) Brown.

Linda, a Texas native, met John Blesi after he left the Coast Guard and started working in Houston, where a friend and coworker of John’s set up a date between them. They were married in December 1974. John and Linda lived in Texas for a few years until settling in Reeds Spring. Linda was a stay-at-home mom until the youngest son started school. She worked at a few different jobs until she was hired by the Galena RII School District, where she poured her heart and soul for 25 years. She worked several positions but would serve most of her time there in the high school library, a role she loved and excelled in. John and Linda had been married 44 years at the time of John's death in October 2019.

Linda enjoyed making scrapbooks, reading, doing puzzles, and stargazing in her free time. She also enjoyed watching meteor showers and eclipses. Linda had summers off and looked forward to vacations when the family would travel to different states and points of interest.

Linda loved Jesus and loved serving the body of Christ. She faithfully served in children’s ministry for over 40 years and was a faithful member of Thrive Church in Nixa, MO, for 45 years. Linda's love for her family was evident in her every action, and she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother.

Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Long (Russell) of Newnan, GA; sons Jonathan Blesi (Christa) of Springfield and Trent (Crystal) of Springfield; grandchildren Arianna, Samuel, Adalyn, Annistyn, and Avonlea Long, Hayden and Nora, Phinehas, Leonard, Wilber, and Trenton Blesi.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. 

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Thrive Church, 113 W. Mt. Vernon, Nixa.

Interment will be held Monday following the funeral at 1:00 PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
