Lillie Mae White, age 86, of Joplin, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015. She was born June 5, 1929 in Chadwick, one of 12 children born to Gat and Elma (Lemler) Walker. She was married to Lee White who preceded her in death in 1984.
Lillie was a homemaker who loved her family and attended Pine Ridge Church near Chadwick. In 1963 she and her family moved to Joplin. Lillie has lived with her son, Allan, since Lee's death. Allan and his family lovingly cared for her until her death.
Along with her husband, Lillie was preceded in death by brothers, Delmer, Elmer, Charles and Alva Walker, an infant brother, Jonathan Walker, and her parents.
Survivors include: Her children and their spouses, David and Marilyn White of Seneca, Sharon and Charles Bennett of Granby, and Allan and Connie White of Joplin, Judy Kessler of Kansas City, Peggy Anitroddi of Florida; eight grandchildren, Michael McPherson, Lisa Heinlein, Sarah Kôca, Amanda Grissom, Rebecca White, Wendy Dobbs, Christopher Kessler and Tony Anitroddi; 17 great-grandchildren.; four brothers, Melvin Walker, Ervin Walker, Arthur Walker and John W. Walker; and three sisters, Virgie Abney, Fern Walker, and Dixie Ramsey; many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, November 6, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A graveside funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 7, in Chadwick Memorial Cemetery, with Helen Walker officiating.
