Lillie Belle Meadows, age 95, of Ozark, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017, surrounded by family.
She was born on March 26, 1921 to Ed and Florence (McReynolds) Davis in Highlandville, Missouri.
On December 21, 1940 she married the love of her life, James Herbert Meadows. Their legacy of love and friendship included five children, 20 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great grandchildren.
Lillie was told she was born with a smile. Anyone who knew her would believe that to be true. Her smile and giggle could light up any room. She had a unique ability to make the best out of any situation. Lillie worked hard and raised her children on their farm in Ozark, Missouri. Sunday dinners were the cornerstone of her family's foundation. She made everyone feel at home.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband; brothers, Billy, Homer, J.H., and Wilford Davis; sister, Genell Miller; daughter-in-law, Faye Meadows, grandson, Brian Meadows, great-grandson Joshua Meadows, and great-great grandson Clay Ames.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Haslip; brother Harold Davis; children, Dean Meadows and wife Carolyn; Stub Meadows; Sid Meadows and wife June; Connie Mayfield and husband Alan; Reba McCarter and husband David; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark Missouri. A service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 1, at the funeral home with Brother Bob Long officiating followed by burial at Prospect Cemetery.
