Lila R. Butrick

Lila R. Butrick, age 82, suddenly passed away in her home in Nixa, Tuesday, August 15, 2012. She was born to James A. and Julia E. (Dow) Brown, July 7, 1930, in Beatrice, NE. She worked as an auditor for Sears and Roebuck for many years, until she retired. She worked as "Aunt Molly" in "Old Matt's cabin at the Shepard of the Hills, in Branson. Lila loved to sing, and was a member of the Senior Chicks Choir at the Senior Center, in Ozark, where she was very active. Lila attended Calvary Bible Church in Nixa. Lila loved the Lord and she loved people. Her family describes her as a "character", and fun to be with. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Lila is survived by: Her children; Robyn Butrick, of Springfield, Deverett Butrick and wife Linda, of Moses Lake, WA, Loren Butrick, and wife Carmen, of Nixa, Rona Butrick, of Nixa, Cindy Morgan, and husband Larry, of Ozark: Her siblings; Marie Bernstrauch, of Grand Island, NE, Phyllis Heath, of Arizona, Barbara Wick, of Elm Creek, NE, Metta Smith, and husband Robert, of California, Betty Greene, of Grand Island, NE, Susie Perkins and husband Kenny of Grand Island, NE, Annette Montgomery, of Portland, OR, Sandi Wolfe, and husband Don, of Overton, NE. She also had 6 wonderful Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Lila is preceded in death by: her parents, brothers James A. Brown, and Ervin Brown, and a sister, Eva Schumpert. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 11:00 A.M., at Calvary Bible Church, at the corner of Hwy 14, and Nicholas Rd., Nixa. Visitation will start at 10:00 A.M, prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to International Fellowship of Christian Jews, at www.iscj.org.
