Lester David King, age 88, of Ozark passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013. He was born February 25, 1925 in Maryville, Missouri the son of Harry & Bessie King.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Forces. On December 22, 1944 Lester was united in marriage to Bettie Anne Grady and to this union two sons were born. Together they owned and operated a printing and newspaper shop in Essex for nearly 25 years.
Lester attended Cassidy United Methodist Church. He was a self-taught pilot flying with his wife and family. He was a Mason and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Lester was preceded in death by his wife Bettie; his parents; two sisters, Ruth McClurg and Doris Masters; two brothers, Ralph and Russell King.
He is survived by his two sons and their wives, David and Debra King, Denver, Colorado, and Don & Diana King, Quincy Illinois; four grandchildren, Bryce King, Meshara Gilbert, Kyle King and Amanda King; and seven great-grandchildren, Kylie, Tara, Hudson, Kala, Logan, Kyle, and Bryson; a sister Donna Westfall, St. Joseph, Missouri, and a brother Kenneth King and his wife Pat, Monterey Park, California.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 27, 2013 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri.
Inurnment will follow in Missouri Veteran"�s Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. with full Military Honors.
